LOUIS, MO IN 2002 The seventh annual reunion will be held in St. Louis, MO 20 - 23 October 2002 at the Holiday Inn (St. Louis Westport) located at 1973 Craigshire Road, St. Louis, MO. The Chairman for the reunion will be Gabe Conde and his lady Virginia. We are fortunate that they reside in the St. Louis area and have made most all of the arrangements for the reunion to include: SLEEPING ACCOMMOADATIONS AND RATES: The price of the hotel will be $79.00, for either a King Occupancy and Double Occupancy; to include applicable State and local taxes, which are presently at 13.83 percent |
TRANSPORTATION AND PARKING: The Hotel offers complimentary shuttle transportation anywhere within a 5-miles radius of the hotel including to and from the airport and Northwest Plaza. SHUTTLE SERVICE DOES NOT GO TO THE CASINOS. There will be ample parking available for those who drive to the reunion. There will be a buffet breakfast offered on both Monday and Tuesday mornings. The annual banquet will be held on Tuesday evening. RESERVATION PROCEDURES Rooms may be reserved by calling the hotel reservations department at 314-434-0100. To receive the contract rates, you must identify that you are with the A/1/7 Marine Corps Association. All reservations should be made by 23 September 2002 and after this date additional reservation requests will be honored on a space and rate available basis. The hotel will honor two days prior and 2 days after the reunion dates at the same rate. GUARANTEED RESERVATIONS: Rooms can be guaranteed for late arrival by using a credit card or by an advance deposit. A guaranteed room reservation assures a room for you regardless of your arrival time. Any guaranteed reservation not canceled before 6:00 pm on their arrival date will be billed to the credit card or against the advance deposit. |

SICK LIST Colonel Stan Rauh and his lady Janet are recuperating at home and they are sorry they couldn't make the reunion in Myrtle Beach but are looking forward to next year! They want to thank everyone for the calls, cards and letters. Colonel Nate Smith is recuperating at home from surgery in October. He told me that he and his lady Janet have their packs ready and orders cut just waiting to jump off and muster in St. Louis in 2002. John "Onti" Ontiveros is recuper- ating at home and is improving daily. He and Mary Jane are really sorry to have missed the reunion. Better watch out now as "Onti" has his own M l Rifle! Thanks Ed. George Norris has had surgery on one eye and according to Jack Walker is doing fine. He is to have the other eye surgery later on. Good luck George!
