PUBLISHED QUARTERLY & A REUNION SPECIAL: 1st NEWSLETTER - January 2006
11th ANNUAL REUNION

At our annual meeting in San Diego our association members voted to hold our 2006 reunion in Covington, KY, just across the river from Cincinnati, OH. It was felt that since the hurricanes along the gulf coast deemed it in appro-priate to meet in New Orleans in 2006.

Muley and Betty Mulhausen will be our hosts again as they hosted our 8th reunion in Oklahoma City, OK in 2003. They did a superb job on that one so I am sure we won't be disappointed this time either!

Muley and Betty have made arrangements that we will be staying at the:

Holiday Inn Cincinnati Airport Hotel at Erlanger, KY instead of locating in Covington, KY.

Our hotel is located in Northern Kentucky just three miles from the Cincinnati/ Northern Kentucky International Airport and only ten miles from Downtown Cincinnati. The address is: 1717 Airport Exchange Boulevard and
is just across the river from Cincinnati, OH.

Our 2006 reunion dates will be the 18th - 22nd October. Check in on Wednesday and check out on Sunday. Each Marine/Guest will make your own reservation by calling the direct line to the hotel: 1-859-371-2233 or l-800-holiday. The room rates will be $86.00 plus 11.3% tax. This rate will be good for three days prior and after the reunion. YOU MUST STATE THAT YOU ARE WITH A/1/7 MARINE CORPS ASSOCIATION REUNION! The cut off date will be 7 October 2006 for our special room rate!

There will be two tours scheduled, One - a City Tour by bus crossing the Ohio River into S. Cincinnati, Ohio, with many sites to see. There will be a Riverboat cruise, with lunch on the boat. This will be a four and half hour tour.

Two - Then, a trip by bus to the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base with a tour of the museum, which houses a large collection of aircraft, a missile and a space gallery. And, a "Nose Art" gallery, as well as Japanese, and German aircraft. A "Deli-Lunch Room" is at the museum. Also the Base Exchange.

There will more information on these two tours in our April News-letter.

On Wednesday evening there will be a welcome party, with a buffet meal and possible entertainment.

And, there will be free time to talk and reminisce, with lots of time meeting in
the hospitality room. There is plenty of space to just lounge around and talk!

The rooms have all the amenities you need, iron & ironing board, hair dryer, and other things needed to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable.

Help us and make your reserve-tions early! You will have a good time. Muley and Betty.

The reunion schedule will be in our April newsletter.
