JULY 2003 8TH ANNUAL REUNION - OKLAHOMA CITY, OK

Only three more months until we muster in Oklahoma City for our 2003 annual reunion. Muley has all his ducks in a row and is ready to show that his fair city can be a grand host to all of us Marines, Ladies and guests for another gathering of "Stable Able One Seven." Let us show the people of his fair city that we can appreciate their great hospitality!

Well, things are falling in shape. The agenda is in place and all of the details are just about set! I just completed a deal for us to visit an " "Indian Casino" just west of the "City." They have the regular Casino games and "Big Time BINGO." They have a "Snack Bar" and serve some meals. It is a nice Casino. They are going furnish the transportation and all we need to do is go!

So tell us, when you send in your Registration Form. So plan now and tell us how many want to go (See new Reunion Registration Form Page 7.)
The dates we have are Wednesday the 1st of October around 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm or Friday the 3rd around 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

These dates and times are not set in "stone." It depends on how many want to go and when.

For those who have registered for our reunion and want to participate in the Indian Casinos please let "Shifty" know as soon as possible.

We are going to have a drawing, at the Banquet. These will be items you want to donate, and things left over from the Hospitality Room and table decorations. Tickets will be $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00. We will draw till everything is Gone! So donate! The money will go for the next reunion.

HOLIDAY INN, AIRPORT
1 - 5 October 2003. Call 1 (800) 622-7666 for your hotel reservations. Please remember you must specify that you are with the A/1/7 Marine Corps Association Reunion for the special reunion price! Some of our Marines have had a problem registering and we had to have Muley contact the hotel to ensure that our Marines, wives and guests get to register.

Planned Tours:
Board the Coach for a trip to the Western Heritage and Cowboy Hall of Fame, a "must see" for Oklahoma City. You will have a lunch buffet in the Hall, so eat when you want.

The transportation, lunch, and fees to the Hall, are included. Cost $25.00 - estimated time, 4 hours
The "City Tour." Board the "Coach," first stop, Myriad Gardens & Crystal Bridge Botanical Gardens, then a drive through Brick Town, then on to Sleepy Hollow for lunch (Chicken and Fish, served family-style) after lunch, we will go to the out- standing 45th Infantry Division Museum, then tour the Civic Center Music Hall, if we have time, or want to, and back to the hotel. The meal, fees, and transportation are included. Cost $20.00 - estimated time, 4 hours

A trip to the Oklahoma City National Memorial and Museum. Take a Trolley downtown to the Memorial, and stay as long as you want. This should be a personnel trip and on your own. Ride the Trolley and go eat where you want and have a "Free" afternoon! Or maybe a trip to Sgt. Grit's Marine Shop! We will use the Hotel Van for this trip.

We have a great program for you so come on out to OKC and spend a week with us! We are looking forward to seeing ya! Semper Fi! Muley
