11th ANNUAL REUNION ERLANGER, KENTUCKY

18th - 22nd October 2006


Our 2006 annual reunion will be held the 18th - 22nd of October 2006 at the Holiday Day Inn Cincinnati Airport hotel located in Northern Kentucky just three miles from the Cincinnati/ Northern Kentucky International Airport and only ten miles from Downtown Cincinnati. The Address is: 1717 Airport Exchange Boulevard and is just across the river from Cincinnati, OH. Check in on Wednesday and check out on Sunday. Each Marine/Guest will make your own reservation by calling the direct line to the hotel: 1-859-371-2233 or l-800-holiday. The room rates will be $86.00, plus 11.3% tax. This rate will be good for three days prior and 3 days after the reunion. YOU MUST STATE THAT YOU ARE WITH A/1/7 MARINE CORPS ASSOCATION REUNION, and the cut off date is 7 October 2006 for our special room rate!

Muley and Betty have made arrangements for anyone that would like
to register early prior to the beginning of our reunion on Wednesday the 18th. We check out on Sunday AM the 22nd.

Time is getting close! The reunion will be here before you know it. If you ever wanted to attend a reunion, this is it! All the old buddies will be there. The sea stories to hear, again and they get better every time they are told! We have reserved a beautiful hotel with lots of great areas to relax and talk! If you are the health type, they have a fully equipped gym and a heated pool. This is right across from the hospitality room! The hospitality room is on the way to the elevators to the rooms! You don't have to go out of your way to get to the hospitality room. And, it will open most of the time, too!

The Northern Kentucky Welcoming is a full buffet meal, cocktails, in the hospitality room, and lots of fun! This is a non-formal, come as you are thing, no speeches, so plan to enjoy your-self! We plan to have some entertainment to go along with the fun!

There is a lot to do in this area. Our city tour will show you some of the things to do, and the opportunity to see and eat on the river. The showboat has entertainment while we eat. And the food is goooood!

The Newport On the Levee is a great place to shop. It has many specialty stores, clubs, live entertainers, and fine restaurants. In the evening, a great view of the Cincinnati skyline! There is a great aquarium in Newport and across the street, a super German restaurant
with German and home made beers. The Hofbrauhaus!

A lot of Germans settled in this area and was responsible in making this area a large shipping port. The river was a highway to the west and to New Orleans. There are five blocks of restored 19th century German buildings with shops, food and entertainment for your enjoyment.

If you want to take a side trip, the Argosy Casino and Hotel is just west of the hotel about 15 miles. There are 6 different restaurants, slots and table games. The Kentucky Horse Farm and Museum in Lexington, KY. (Continued on page 2)
