SEE YOU IN SAN DIEGO As promised, here is more information on the San Diego 2005 Reunion. Thursday, Oct. 6th - OPEN DAY The January issue of the Newsletter advised that an additional day was being planned for the San Diego Reunion to provide time to enjoy the many opportunities for sight seeing in the San Diego area. One thing about visiting San Diego is that there is "so much to do and so little time." The following list of possible places to visit is certainly not complete but, hopefully, will provide suggestions to suit individual interests. Maritime Museum of San Diego - While the beautiful tall ship Star of India is the pride of the museum, she is joined by other historic ships such as The |
Medea and The Berkeley.
USS Midway - The latest addition to San Diego's places to visit is the aircraft carrier USS Midway. After a 47-year career of service, the Midway is now located at 910 N. Harbor Drive, alongside the Navy Pier, and is conveniently located near the Maritime Museum. Seaport Village - A great place to visit for bayside shopping and dining, casual and otherwise. The many one-of-a-kind shops in a relaxed setting make it a great place to visit even if shopping is not your thing. (Cont'd page 2) CHECK IT OUT!
